This page explains what our website stores on your device, and why.
Contents
What we use
Our public website sets no cookies. It uses your browser's local storage to remember two things you choose. Our staff admin area sets one cookie for staff who sign in.
| Name or key | Purpose, type and how long it lasts |
|---|---|
cd-basket | Remembers your enquiry list: the services you have chosen and your answers so far. Local storage, strictly necessary. Kept until you submit your enquiry or clear your enquiry list or browser data. |
cd-currency | Remembers the currency you chose to see prices in. Local storage, set at your request. Kept until you change it or clear your browser data. |
cd_admin | Keeps an authorised member of staff signed in to the admin area. Cookie, strictly necessary, set only for staff. Lasts 12 hours. Customers never receive it. |
Local storage stays in your browser. Neither item is sent to us until you submit an enquiry, when your enquiry list forms part of it.
What we do not use
We use no analytics, advertising, social media or tracking cookies or scripts, and no third-party cookies.
Why there is no consent banner
The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) require consent before storing information on your device, except where it is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for (regulation 6(4)). Your enquiry list, your chosen currency and the staff sign-in cookie all fall within that exception, so we do not need to ask for consent and do not show a cookie banner. If we ever add anything that needs consent, we will ask first.
How to clear them
You can clear your enquiry list on the enquiry page. To remove everything our site stores, clear the site data for this website in your browser settings (often under Privacy, then Cookies and site data). You can also block storage for our site, but your enquiry list and currency choice will then not be remembered.
